Electron Microscopy Scientific Head: Dr. José Jesús Fernández
CINN’s Electron Microscopy service is especially aimed at the field of life sciences. In this area, Transmission Electron Microscopy allows the analysis of biological samples at a cellular and subcellular scale, such as tissues, cellular and bacterial cultures, viruses, subcellular structures and macromolecules.

Equipments
The service is equipped with a JEOL 1011 Transmission Electron Microscope with a CCD camera. We also have a high-pressure freezer (Leica EM ICE) and an automatic cryosubstitution system (Leica EM AFS2).
