CINN’s article selected as “Highlighted Paper” by the Condensed Matter Physics Division of the Spanish Royal Physics Society

AdminCinn News Nano-Optics, Nanostructured Hybrid Systems

CINN’s paper “Broad spectral tuning of ultra-low loss polaritons in a van der Waals crystal by intercalation. authored by the researchers of the Nanostructured Hybrid Group Javier Taboada-Gutiérrez, Gonzalo Álvarez-Pérez, Jiahua Duan, Javier Martín-Sánchez y Pablo Alonso-González has been selected as “Highlighted Paper” by the GEFES (Condensed Matter Physics Division of the Spanish Royal Physics Society) within the call corresponding to the period  October 2019- March 2020.

This work, published in the prestigious journal Nature Materials, describes an effective method to extend the nanolight excitation frequency range in the form of phononic polaritons in van der Waals materials. The finding will advance the development of compact photonic devices for information and communication technologies or high-precision biological sensors.
