Information storage
Some of the more relevant results obtained by Nanostructured Hybrid Systems group are related with the control of magnetic topological defects. These small elements, in which their stability is topologically protected, are interesting form the information storage point of view as they could become advanced memory cells for the development of 3D magnetic logic circuits.
Thus, in the last years, the group has studied systems such as the magnetic domain wall motion in films with nanostructured surface or the control of magnetic vortices and merons in multilayers and nanostructured systems.
