Graphene
The introduction of graphene-based nanomaterials has driven the development of new nanocomposites for emerging applications that require superior mechanical, thermal, electrical, optical and chemical performance. These nanocomposites may exhibit enhanced structural performance and multifunctional properties by synergistically combining the features of both components as long as an adequate structural and surface organization is achieved.
In the CINN we develop ceramics-graphene nanocomposite materials in which we use graphene as filler to provide increased thermal and/or electrical properties of ceramic materials. We also work on the synthesis by CVD of single layers of perfect graphene on different substrates such as Cu, SiO2, glass or PET.
